Professors play an essential (but often overlooked) role in Switzerland’s start-up and innovation ecosystem. Not only do they spark ground-breaking ideas with their research labs and share their knowledge with a global community, they also provide mentorship to the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators. They have a key influence in opening up career paths and encourage to pursue bold ideas from research to practice.
After we receive nominations from all departments and entrepreneurial campus organizations, we call all ETH students, PhDs, and Post-Docs to vote for the most entrepreneurship-friendly professor at ETH Zurich. Based on the votes, the jury picks the winner, runner-up and second runner-up for the Dandelion Award - The Inspirer & Entrepreneurial Educator. The jury consists of representatives of relevant ETH institutions, such as ETH Entrepreneur Club, ETH juniors, Student Project House, and AVETH.
Winners of the 2025 Dandelion Award will be announced at the DeepTech Investor Summit.
